I don’t understand this at all. He had a poor game and needed substituting, but how does cheering the decision to substitute him help him improve? On another day he has the measure of his marker and gets some great crosses over, but yesterday it wasn’t working for him. I’ve never booed a Reds player/team. I’ve been angry with performances and shouted at plenty to buck their ideas up, but booing them is only ever going to have a negative effect.
It was ridiculous the stick he got for missing the ball just before he came off Then the ironic cheers Unwarranted! This lad has some real potential, plays with smile on his face, tries his best I really like him
This really. I like Barry but when he’s bad he’s very very bad and I can’t see us at this stage being able to train that out of him.
I think Little Lee did a bit of a job on us closing down the wide areas. I think if Styles had not been suspended we would have had more joy down the middle, but we had no ball carriers there. Phillips remains disappointing, Kane & Russell are decent players, but always look for a pass, rather than a run. I found it a frustrating watch, as expressed in the MDT, we did come from behind, which will have pleasured @Stephen Dawson . Two pints dropped though, when a win would have put us top 2. Ah well, we go again. It's 5 games unbeaten in the league, 3 wins & 2 draws, that is promotion form, if continued. Only Pompey running away with it this year.
Just seen a stat, apart from Cole (13 goal contributions) the player with closest amount of goal contributions this season is cotter with 5. He's raw and far from the finished article but like you say encourage not discourage.
