So you should be. You must do that airport run about 25 times a year.

Actually quite enjoyed mine a few years ago (5 years now I think). It did give me somewhat of a different perspective and I am now much more aware of speed, so I guess it did its job. I was very careful for a few years after to stick to limits because I didn't want to get caught again and get the points as I had already had a recent course, and I guess those revised habits just stuck. Also, I actually learned that I didn't know what the definition of a dual carriageway was.

That is the problem on the roads you travel everyday.
Have an open mind ,some of the tips may help.
If nothing else , at least you will get rid of the points.
My advice is cruise control/ limiter or 3rd gear on the 30s you drive all the time.
Not fool proof ,but will help.
Ask Hooky he's the expert lol.

I enjoyed mine simply because it shows you how bad most drivers are and get into bad habits. NO pressure on the course but imo it was eye opening and if you're interested it flys by.

Did mine as a teams meeting type thing on my phone.

At one point the manc bloke running it said.

"Stuart! Is the vehicle you're in moving? I'm going to have to ask you to stop right now!"

Then we took a short break to be told Stuart had been removed from the course, had 3points for the speeding offence and would be done for driving without due care and attention.

I don’t like limiters. You never know when you may need to accelerate out of a problem. But the speed awareness test was good that I went in, if not a little drawn out.

I think if I got done again I’d take the points!
4 hrs I’ll never get back always a boy racer( other sexes are available) on too who thinks they can speed.

    Cheers Bazza :)
. For those who dont know. I did a speed awareness course on which he was monitoring the tutor. Classroom was full.
    Tutor said
" Can anyone tell me a good reason for speeding."
    I said
" To get tut pub fot last orders"
It went down like a lead balloon. I was joking of course. I cant remember If baz gave a wry smile. He knows me of old lol.
But as he says . I use cruise control and speed limiter nearly all of the time.
Except I borrowed daughter in laws car on a journey cos mine was off the road. Not taking absolute notice of my speed. Got done doing 67 in a 60 on a dual carriageway in Cambridgeshire. no traffic to guide me. (2nd offence in 6 months and 3 points. After my speed awareness course) 1st one was after 30 yrs of driving, 34 in a 30 zone. Worsbro camera which I'd driven past 100s of times :(. 2nd one was the last.

This is what happens when you give the chauffeur the night off.
