Never saw this being voted on and I'd guess there haven't been very many votes BUT who the hell voted for Adie Moses or Max Watters. Pretty sh*tty to include a current player IMHO as well. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...d-for-by-the-oakwell-faithful-gallery-4395161
Anyone who has Adie Moses, Max Watters or Mike Bahre on their list of worst Barnsley players of all time must be truly on some serious glue.
Images were not available for the following players who received votes – Dave Regis, Fola Onibuje, Phil Gridelet, Moguel Mossto, Jamie Robinson, Tony Gaillmore, Will Ferry and Marciano Bruma. Here are the rest of the players who received votes in no particular order. That to me says they've asked someone to provide a list of players they didn't rate, and they've stuck them on the website. Must be bit of a slow news day in Leeds. As you say though, it's poor form to include both a club legend and a current player.
About half the list is correct. The other half are purely average players and we've had many worse. Too many spelling and numbering errors to be taken seriously. Adie Moses has absolutely no place on this list or in the Worst 1000 Barnsley Players.
THE Adie Moses who helped us get to the Premier League. Utter ridiculous. Adie is definitely in the top 100-200 players of all time. Adie if you're reading this article take no notice.
Agree completely. Adie was one of a crop of very good young players who guided by Eric Winstanley, went on to have a good career. When I think of him it's in a very positive way. He was quick, strong in the tackle, pretty good in the air and could play with the ball at his feet. And that stunning volleyed winner against Norwich City!
Adie Moses wasn’t even the worst CB in our Premier League season. Imagine playing in the pinnacle season at a club and somehow being included in a list of 29(? Assume they could only get 29 pictures ready in time for the publication deadline) worst players for Barnsley. Yorkshire Post if you’re reading this you owe Adie Moses a massive apology.
The likes of Mido, Frimpong etc are always going to be regarded as the worse but some of the players that got regular football over time were much shitter. The players in that 02-03 team were disgusting.
That list is mainly just a list of players with not many appearances. Based on that I'd put Paul Warhurst on there even though he had a glittering career elsewhere. His has to be the worst debut I've ever seen. He was an accident waiting to happen. The manager realised his mistake but didn't even have time to sub him off before he got a red card.
Yeah some strange ones in there and some strong contenders missed. How does Mike Bahre get in and not that Ritzmaier guy who Struber signed I’ll never understand
There is imo. He's shown flashes. His finish v Wednesday last year for example, he was very good as a second half sub at MK Dons and certainly saved us from defeat that day and his finish from a tight angle at Cheltenham this season was very good. He only shows fleetingly and needs to improve massively but shouldn't be in that list either imo
I had the surname Moses on the back of my Premier League season away shirt. To suggest he was one of our worst players is bullrush. They're just picking the players they've still got pictures of.
Carl Regan Mike Flynn Kevin Donovan Brian O'Callaghan Kevin.Dixon John Regis Maceo Rigters Onome Sodje O'Neil.Thompson Stuart Rimmer John Pearson
Also owe BFC & Watters an apology, imagine being an existing player and being told publicly you’ve been voted in the worst ever table.
