Not that hard to find Gridelet if you really try. "Heard of him but never seen him" Agree with your last sentiment btw.
Reckon Adie is only in the list as he scored a last minute own goal to give Leeds the win in the Prem season. Very Leeds centric, or what.
This. Adie Moses was my favourite player. And Bahre wasn't the worst that season either. Since none of us knew about the survey I don't think it was completed by many fans.
I loved Bahre because he made no sense. He would bring the ball down on a sixpence or play a sublime through ball and then 2 minutes later misplace a 10 yard pass under no pressure.
Moses? I despair with some of our fans he was a great player for us! I mentioned Warhurst and Woan on FB - big reputations who were woeful for us!
1 of them assists was to Cadden who still had work to do to get in box to score a worldie, other was to Cotter who scored a cross/shot freak goal from a mental angle. He’s a striker with 2 goals in 15 games, that we paid between £300K-£400K for when there was better available for less. He might not be worst ever level yet but if he carries on like he has, he certainly will be on the worst ever list soon enough. Come January we will have seen a years worth of Watters and anyone that pretends to be impressed by him are only kidding themselves.
If entertainment is the criterion then Mido shouldn't be on the list. His debut from the bench against Huddersfield was pure comedy gold!
Adie Moses? The same Adie Moses that Liverpool, Newcastle and Arsenal enquired about when we were in the Premier League? The England U21 international Adie Moses?
I saw Phil Gridelet. Ok it was in the stand at the old Oxford ground when we played there in 1991, but he was sat/stood close to me possibly with crutches. (although I can't actually remember anything else about the game, including how I get there, whether I was standing or sitting, or how I got home - I was living in Abingdon at the time).
I had completely forgotten that Ian Woan played for us. Still can't actually remember any of his performances. Probably for the best? Do recall Warhurst though, and Clayton Blackmore. Absolutely horrendous the pair of them.
Mmm, all stats can be construed to suit. 2 goals in 15 games or 2 goals in 600 minutes (equivalent of a goal just over every 3 games)? Same stats but give a different outlook No one’s saying they are impressed just he’s not as bad as some make out and it is most certainly wrong to have a current player whom we are hoping will make it on that list. You would hope given the fact there is a long list of players who were called ‘crap’ who went on to be good for us fans would learn to have some patience.
Played approx 1200 mins and scored 7 goals in that time so circa a goal every 2 games of actual played time. Again I’m not saying he will or won’t make it but I’m not gonna make a conclusion based on such a short period of actual playing time. Going back to the publication, I’m presuming we all want every player to make it, so do we think publicly slating a player like that will help a player develop?

Don’t blame anything on the player, he didn’t force us to sign him. Blame lies on whoever sanctioned bringing him back for such a relatively high fee when we knew last season he wasn’t good enough. The minutes he’s played would’ve been better used on some of the youth team strikers developing them in this league.
