No, I can't sit in my usual seat, and yes, it would have been better had it been on a Saturday or even a Sunday, but fixtures like this are what being a football fan is all about for me. It's not often we're the applecart in this situation, and that obviously puts the pressure on. But the FA Cup, throwing up ties between professional footballers and professional tax men, is one of the few traditions we still have in a game now ordinarily played by billionaire oil barons, rather than on the pitch. I look forward to welcoming the 500 Horsham fans who have been able to make the journey, I just hope we're not the subject of a famous cup upset. You reds!
Definitely. Crazy not to go to this match if you can make it - imagine the excitement for Horsham fans, not too dissimilar to the excitement we felt when playing Chelsea and Liverpool in our very own cup run. Big games for your club are exciting times, I hope as many people as possible turn up. We genuinely may never play these lot against for a 100 years.
I've managed to work my way into their WhatsApp group, just to give recommendations. They're full of the joys of spring this morning. Bit like we were as you say, before Anfield etc.
Yeagh but we're massive, look at our history in this competition. It's only little old Horsham . Fair play to the 500. Some of us are in 2 minds about travelling 2 miles. Shame on us .
Can`t wait,i love the first 3rounds of the FA Cup when we`re in them & an added bonus tomorrow i get to do family stuff with my football widow missis.
I couldn't have gone whichever day it was played on as I'm tied up with kids' stuff all weekend. Extremely annoying, would have loved to go.
Aye proper looking forward to it! Heading into town first with the better half for some food and then down to the match. Hope it’s a good one!
