We don't have another game for 8 days. We pick the strongest available side depending on injuries/rotation requirements.
With all due respect Marc that is exactly what Liverpool and Chelsea were saying. This is the magic of the FA cup 11 v 11 . Lets not get massive. We have enough with them at S6. They have every chance of getting an upset tonight. 500 wouldn't be travelling North if they thought that.
As I mentioned in another thread, the gulf between our players and Horsham's should be a lot bigger than the gulf between us and Chelsea or Liverpool. Our 2008 side was only one division below them. Our current side is still a professional team of full-time athletes, playing against a side of players who probably train twice a week. Even if they're still in the game after an hour, our fitness should really start to tell in the closing stages. Not that I think it'll come to that.
TBF, I think most of their fans will be of the mind that anything that’s not a ‘thrashing’ is acceptable. Of course they’ll be hoping for a win or draw, but I suspect most of those travelling are here to witness one of their (if not their) biggest games ever. Massive respect to those that have travelled up
That was my view when I was speaking with the scousers prior to our cup game in the pub. Our goaly was injured and we loaned Coventry or West Brom ? 3rd choice goaly. The magic of the cup.
As somebody else has said, this is NOT the Papa's Trophy thing or even the Lg cup. This is the FA cup and we shouldn't be messing about with the squad.
