I'm hoping to get a ticket for the replay. Having been tonight I can't see Horsham stepping up their game but a number of our players can step up theirs. Hopefully our lads are bright enough to do that.
Think you are right mate. That's the camping world community stadium. Previously the Hop oast stadium. Holds just short of 2k. The other article read sept 2023. Which swayed it for me. But it appears that's wrong. 300 away fans max. They can request a change of venue. Via the FA. Eg Crawley. It'll be interesting to see what they do.
STHs who went tonight will get first refusal and if we only get a few hundred they will be gone straight away.
No. These pitches are the lifeblood of community non league teams. The EFL should let clubs play on them in the league.
You’d also like to think playing on 4g would be an advantage to us to move the ball around quicker. With the rain we’ve had recently some lower league clubs fields may be worse to play on.
Remember Enfield ? Switched venue to White Hart Lane Spurs. (SD would have been in heaven) Sold out ,and we dodged a bullet. And this was one of the best BFC teams I remember almost bumped out of the FA cup by lowly Enfield . I was there for both games. Can't remember Norman Hunter getting the abuse that Collins is receiving on here. But no social media toxic then.
Spot on. Making Harrogate rip up a perfectly good astroturf was a scandal. The EFL pretends to be about “community” but won't allow its precious players to play on a surface which is actually easier to play on, and penalises countless community grass roots clubs in the process. It’s nothing like when QPR had their pitch in the 80s. Astroturf surfaces are brilliant now. Most clubs train on astro anyway. Makes me laugh that they would rather have clubs with grass pitches - and then you get a situation where the Blackpool owner will only pay for bog standard grass seed, with the result of having more sand on the pitch than grass.
I went but still think is unfair. Should be based on loyalty points but I worry how many people have not admitted to the club that I did that start of last season I think they allocated more than they should - 50/70 to be precise on top of renewal rewards. I told Beth and she adjusted my account. I know at least one person who I tell that they are on a points number impossible so should contact the club. If loads more have these errors then even the die hard may lose out to them. I went to the game, new grounds are my only real hobby and I have 216 points but that might not even be enough.
We usually (as we should) give priority to those who go to cup games when it comes to cup game tickets.
