Currently top of our league have just lost to non league Chesterfield in the FA cup. Do our moaners think they should sack their manager?

Theres a huge difference in chesterfield (professional players) away, and Horsham (part time players) at home!

Portsmouth were poor ,Chesterfield did not look like a non league team.
Will win automatic on this showing.

Don't know about sacking him but there's a big difference between losing to top of conference side who've lost 1 game this season to drawing against a team in 8th place in the Isthmian Premier Division.

Yep, if you lose you’re out of the cup

You know what I mean. Only bigger upset this round would be if Cray Valley Paper Mills beat Charlton later on. Technically not an upset I suppose, we're not out

The Portsmouth performance was far more abject than that of Barnsley. Barnsley had 13 shots on target to Horsham’s 3. Pompey had 3 shots on target to Chesterfields 6. Also Barnsley didn’t lose.

Think Chesterfield are a shade better than Horsham to be fair.

your specious argument doesn’t hold water. The top ranked team of the third round have been knocked out by the 47th ranked team. BFC will still be in the hat for the 4th round draw yet you still think our head coach should be sacked. You need more than a lay down mate.

I'm sure youd be just as magnanimous if we'd lost to Chesterfield .....

I’d be less embarrassed than letting Horsham score 3 against us at home if I’m honest. I think Chesterfield would give any side from L1 and L2 a serious game.

Definitely a strong bet to win the conference title this season and make a return to the football league. Wouldn't fancy playing them at their place.

Lost away to a side two leagues below, is different to letting 3 in at home to a team of part timers 4 leagues below.

We’re not going to have this every time a football league club loses to a non league club are we?

We were rubbish, the players and management team deserved to be told we were rubbish. We have a chance to put it right, it’s now over, move on to the next one.

It’s the difference between fans and supporters. Dictionary says:-
Fan (fanatic) “a person who has very extreme beliefs that may lead them to behave in unreasonable ways”.
Supporter “a person who is actively interested in and wishes success for a particular sports team.”

If this forum only allowed “supporters”, it would a very boring place. A few hundred well-wishers saying that Maceo Rigters just needs more game time before he comes good.
