I wasn’t aware but I only play after work sessions, so daytime sessions are not really on my radar.

There is a women’s session on Wednesdays at Oakwell 7-8pm. They could do with some more players, so if anyone knows anyone please get them along.

Walking football has genuinely changed my life. It’s opened up so many fantastic opportunities, and I have made some really good friends. At the club I play it’s very inclusive, and so we have experienced players playing alongside complete beginners - just a great way for older people to exercise.

I know sod all about walking football other than it's football that you walk instead of run but I have a question why are teams and games men and women separately? Is it due to some physical reason or just that people feel more comfortable that way?

Also I know you're married to a Dee dar so probably don't actually want to but how do you ever find any time to be at home? You always seem to be doing something

My team mates were telling me that it was Emile Heskey and I did not believe them..

He was very athletic, even at 45

There is some mixed Walking Football. I’ve played a few times but would say the men tend to run more.
Huge differences in the games though. Mens WF is made up of players who can no longer play at the pace they once could. Womens is a mix of that and total beginners (women denied the chance at school).

I’m at home loads now as both kids live away. No dropping off/ picking up to do.
Walking football keeps me sane! :)

"WHAT" Scandalous. Get sent off if it becomes an Olympic sport.
What is it. One foot making contact with the floor. At any time.

Can only judge on what I see at England Walking Football Community training. The men look like they are jogging.
I’ve never heard a satisfactory description tbh. All i can say is that you can just tell when it’s running. That doesn’t help refs though.
Most of the men I’ve seen there have played a high level of football. (Peter Davenport ex Man U for example).
There’s running in the women’s game but seems easier to spot - in the men’s game it looks like everyone is jogging!
