I’m thinking of stockpiling sherbet fountains for fear they will be the next victim of this confectionary genocide.
Why would a Swiss company change the recipe of a British bar (only really popular in the UK) to taste more American? All confectioners have been challenged by the government to reduce the amount of fat and sugar in their products. One of the ways to do this is to adapt the recipe. Once they’ve done that, the only other thing they can do to reduce calories is make the serving sizes smaller. TBH, Nestlé have launched a whole load of new caramelised white chocolate products under their more popular ‘Milkybar’ brand, and I guess they’re focusing on those instead. Still a shame. I do like a Caramac every so often.
