How the hell was that a penalty?? + the last 2 goals were bad ones. First was unlucky, I suppose, but to concede 2 from a long punt from their keeper is unforgivable.
Never a pen for me. Mcatee should have buried the chance he had (I'd stopped watching by the point he got that chance) defending was schoolboy.
The third goal is my favourite, virtually impossible to divert that shot going about 4 feet over into your own net but Killip manages it.
Although the away fans were at the opposite end of the stadium from the penalty I, for one, instantly thought it was a penalty: O'Keefe pushes Collins with both hands - may be Collins made a meal of it but, from c.100 yds away, it looked to me a definite penalty. The fans around me did not protest much at all. As regards Tyketical Masterstroke's comment re Killip, this was at the away fans end and I thought it was a great save (the away section was the same side as the Derby attack). If Killip had made no attempt to save it and it went in he would have been crucified. As it was, the pitiful (or maybe non-existent) attempts of the Barnsley players to get to the ball meant that Collins was able to chest the ball into the net with no Barnsley player making any attempt to stop him/anticipate what might happen.
If the other defenders hadn't been ball watching we could have had a chance to clear it. Cadden should have done better then points the finger at other defenders when it goes in.
Completely agree about the pen. I’ve yet to see an angle on any highlights that has a better view than we had at the match.
