A think we’re a very average team, any team we’ve played that have an ounce of quality beat us, a don’t think the manager knows his best 11 or even our best formation…….defensively we’re poor, we’ve too many players not pulling there weight week in week and we don’t have any plan B either!!!! My hopes are pinned on Connell to try and get us going again!! Im usually positive when it comes to BFC but we seem to be going backwards at the moment
I think it was you who posted after a win a few week back saying we are winning but have no identity and got pelters. I still feel same I don't know what Collins is trying to play its awful to watch.
It was, I honestly haven’t a clue what system we’re trying to play…….it’s like we have no urgency anywhere on the pitch!!
I don't think we have a bad squad on paper... I don't think he's getting the best out of this group apart from Cole... I don't know what he's trying to play it's all very ponderous and slow... even schopp and ashbagi would get a few wins against the **** teams with this squad in this league. He won't get sacked but were treading water.
I saw the three Home games in October, and returned across The Pond after suffering through a Win, a Draw and a Loss. As many have stated before, the endless sideways and backwards passes in our own half, followed by a hopeful punt forward, is mind numbingly boring. I saw yesterday, and I have seen too many times this season, a throw-in about 10 yards from the opponents goal, which goes backwards to one of our players and then backwards to our goalkeeper. Very negative. We also seem to have no idea what to do in the final third and just end up panicking.
Thing is, I can see the tactics and system he's trying to implement into the team. The problem is if I can see it, then surely the other teams can too and they can prepare for that and come up with a system to counter ours which means we need to also have an effective plan B. Which we don't in the slightest. The best teams in this league are beating us not because they have the better players, but because they're beating us tactically. Derby was mostly route one yesterday and pressing by their forwards because they could see Russell when pressed becomes immobile and our defenders panic under pressure. When we win its because our players are better than the oppositions and on paper we have a top 6 team I believe. But we don't have a top 6 manager.
Pity neither of em kept us up in the championship with a squad that included Collins Walton Morris Woodrow Kitching Styles Cole Anderson Helik. Quina Basi. The jury is still out for me re Collins. But hopefully with our strongest side. (Which we've not had all season at any one time) we hopefully can push on. You can put Schopp and Asbahgi alongside Morais. All cack.
What makes you think we're good on paper?.. as I see it we've butchered a competent defence and fetched in lads that have little or no pedigree at all.
The squads not that much different to last season apart from the defence. O keffe is a good wing back at this level so is j Williams the midfield we have to pick from is better than most in this league. Cole scores at this level. Sam Cosgrove was not so long ago a 2 million pound player, watters should be doing better. I remember val getting a team playing well above there level by just organisation and a well drilled style this lot aren't even organised.
We still have a defence why he keeps picking mcart horse week in week out is baffling. The defensive shape has been suspect all season. For a head coach who was a defender its shocking. On Saturday we play the football in our own half Cole and watters especially got stick but they had to drop so deep to get involved in the play. If I was Collins try your plan b because whatever plan a is its not working.
A think this next month is massive for him, keep this style up and we’ll be cut adrift of the top 2, a think the fans patience so far has been the fact we’ve kept our position in the top 6 and within reach of the top 2, this style is clearly not suited to playing teams with any quality so something needs to change sooner rather than later
Yea i think it was the Leyton Orient coach who stated he had watched us previous to playing them and thought our midfield was slow in transition (losing the ball) and was something they could exploit.
