Tell me about it. England v Panama in Nizhny Novgorod was one of my favourite ever England experiences, mostly thanks to the fact that we only had a couple of thousand fans there. Even the group matches in Ukraine 2012 were populated by quite a few knobheads. As for the semi-final v Croatia, that was pretty awful afterwards. Obviously met a lot of really sound people as well, but the England knuckle dragger element is a sizeable minority, and an absolutely vile one.
We follow Schalke so go over quite a bit to Gelsenkirchen. Our plan was to base ourselves in Bochum which has quick rail links to Cologne.
Turns out I have got a pair for one game, F1 v F3 in Dusseldorf, got them from the second chance ballot. 200 Euro a ticket, don't tell the missus ffs.
Fcking hell, I didn't pay much more than that for my semi final ticket in 2018. We'll, that's what I told my missus. It was probably a bit more than that to be fair. I really hope it doesn't turn out to be Finland v Luxembourg for that price!
