No chance I reckon. I still think they'll finish above 16th or a few places higher. Their form of late is excellent. And only 3 points from safety.
Play Chesterfield at home saturday and got 3 players on international duty. The league won't let em postpone. Even though saying they have only 13 players available.
Seems harsh given it’s an issue over accounting methods , apparently if they had got part of the loan for the new stadium from a bank the interest could have been deducted and they wouldn’t have breached the rules but the new owner stumped the money up
Might as well deduct 10 points from all the teams in the PL. I don’t think any of them actually stick to the letter of FFP rules.
I'll only believe FFP is being applied fairly when Man City are relegated to League 2 & we pick up John Stones on a free. So basically, never.
I'd imagine the FA are weary of punishing the likes of Citeh and Chelsea in case they swan off and form a super league.
It'll get reduced to 6 on appeal and Everton will stay up. 9 point deduction if you go into Admin, it's excessive and will get reduced. Man City could take 10 point deduction now and still win a back to back treble, they are that far ahead of the pack of also rans.
I for one won't be shedding any tears. It's about time PL clubs were brought to task over their finance. They've got over £100 Million in debt in 3 years. That's ridiculous, even if it does include money for a new stadium. They spent all that money and just about stayed up each season. It's pathetic.
According to the report I saw, its £372m over 3 years, which is more than the £250m allowed. The bit that bends my brain in that is that losing a quarter of a BILLION pounds in 3 years is allowed!! Football truly is fcked.
