Didn't want to leave the title of the thread as simply "Keith Allen" as everyone would automatically assume he'd carked it. Took advantage of the Carlisle match being postponed to catch him as Scrooge in Mark Gatiss's adaptation of A Christmas Carol at the Nottingham Playhouse. Absolutely blinding performance. The show moves to London from next week. I'd definitely recommend checking it out to anyone who's down there. Nottingham had been sold out for ages but we fluked standby tickets. Looks like there are a few left down in London.
Down for the Reading match fri-sun. Is it the Play or Musical version mate. Looking for summat for a few of us. I do prefer Musicals missen. Fell asleep during The Mousetrap. But then again, Hated Chicago.
It's the Mark Gatiss adaptation of the play. A few carols here and there, but overwhelmingly dialogue rather than singing.
We are also down for a long weekend, mrs has booked Abbavoyage for the Thursday night although neither of us are big fans Friends that have seen it actually raved about it and the reviews are really good so will give it a try A lot more expensive than other shows we’ve seen though
My son has seen it. Said. once you get over the first 10 minutes wondering how it's done, He loved it. I fancied it missen for the Friday but tickets coming up at £170+ . Match and then Campden I think satdy neet. Bus load on us.
Nice one Train from Paddington to reading for us I think Tickets for Thursday night were £118 each, makes it an expensive weekend lol
PM me if you want to discuss transport to the game and back. Plenty of seats on the Bus. We are a mixed party btw. Not an hairy arsed minibus of male reprobates from Hoyland. (in joke they'd understand if they could read .)
No fare to pay mate. If you want to give the Driver a tip. Fine. Just tell him. "No matter how nice the hand soap smells, don’t leave the restroom smelling your fingers".
Jersey boys won a vote for a dozen of us on the Friday. Seen it missen. But one of those worth another watch.
