I'm not sure we have the administrative competency to do that. We'd probably forget to turn up and end up forfeiting.
Perhaps we could rearrange an away trip to London. Sort out all those who bought train tickets and hotels at the same time...
I would hope we would put an appeal in seeing as it looks like we have pointed the mistake out to the authorities because they must have missed it as well. There is also the matter of the mix up with the board change over which we pointed out to the EFL. i bet we even get relegated for that.can we have some professionals to run our club please
Appeal on what grounds? We fielded an ineligible player. The punishment for this is fixed in the rules and the club have already admitted the charge and agreed to the FAs ruling.
I may be wrong but I thought there was a rule that a club can't have three consecutive away league games and, given that Carlisle are away at Reading in the midweek before the 2nd December and then away at Blackpool on 9th December, playing us on 2nd December would mean three consecutive away league games in 11 days? Fixture Release Day: how are fixture lists compiled? - The English Football League (efl.com)
Thats how the original fixtures are compiled - I dont think there is any rule that says it applies to re-arranged games. Cant see it happening though even if the clubs agree and there is no guarantee Carlisle will I am sure SYP would say that its insufficient notice now
Carlisle just taken over by an American family , maybe get the game played before they splash some cash in January on players
Blimey I'm not sure id trust them to get me a sarnie from the snack shop...never mind rearrange a game!
