Going tomorrow, never been to Lincoln away since I was a small child - take it from me that's ages ago. Anybody been who can offer advice on parking the car and which pubs are away friendly?? TIA
Builders merchants quarter of a mile from ground. Used to be Jackson’s, then Buildbase, think it’s Huws Gray now. Shuts at 12pm on a Saturday. Signs up saying clamping in operation but there isn’t. If after 12, put it in showroom car park. Not many pubs that side but on the right side of the city for a quick escape after the match.
Strugglers, beerheadz, cardinals hat all do cracking real ale. Ive no idea if they're away friendly and I imagine they're a good walk from the ground but worth a visit if you're having a wander
Easily the best plan. Parking in the city is a nightmare. Very expensive and highly regulated. There is some on street parking at weekends but it quickly fills up.
If you arrive early enough, South Park is easily the best place for on-street parking. Tucked away so very safe. Ten minutes walk from the ground. Put number 18 in your sat nav and it'll take you to a part with quite a few spaces.
All cracking picks but uphill near the cathedral. Well worth checking for those making a weekend of it, but quite a trek from the ground.
Be careful parking here, if you park in road you are fine but you will more than likely see people in the verges etc they will ticket you for it.
That's a good shout actually, although I've been there on match day before as my friend lives on that street and plenty were up on the grass! Not an issue for me, I'll be walking.
Drinking wise, Golden Cross is normally friendly and close. Avoid Shakespeare though which is only a few hundred yards up road.
