Dont know if it's out there already.

But finally a reason for his absence. Post viral fatigue. After many visits to Manchester and london for a diagnosis.
Suffering headaches and feeling wiped out. (Barnsley Chron.)
Hopefully he's fully recovered and on the way back to full fitness. An important part of the team. Some would say most important. Hard to disagree.

    Copied
it can take several months and sometimes a year or more for people to feel fully recovered from post-viral fatigue.

Well let's hope he makes a full recovery for his own sake not just the club.

Well he has showed in the couple of games he has played in that he is more than capable. One of very few bright sparks in the recent shambles.

In this instance time has shown that not releasing too much info was the correct thing to do, despite some demanding to know.

He’s our best player by some distance. Leaving him to his recovery was the best option.

    I totally agree with this.

I just think we can't expect too much of him this side of New Year. Patience on this.

People are clamouring for him to start a league game and I realise why as he’s by far our best player. It’s not going to happen for a good while yet though. Him being on the bench and getting 30 minutes or so would be a great start for now.

Connell playing at only 30% would be better than what Styles and Russell are giving us lately. Connell playing at only 5% would be better than what Benson has ever shown in a Barnsley shirt.

Couldn't disagree more. He wasn't his best. But still best player on the night. For Barnsley. He made things look easy, most of the time. Trouble was. Imho none of the others really performed at all. One or two perked up when changes were made. And looked more interested.
A proper bad night at the office.

Wand of a left foot exactly what we need to balance the side Championship player playing a league below what he’s capable of

This can't be your actual opinion surely? He was by far our beat player last season and I'm convinced if he didn't have this illness over the summer we'd have been struggling to keep him january/next summer.

Hes absolutely vital to our midfield and our team in general, if anything watching Russell try do the same job just highlights this.
