Guitarist with Killing Joke. Also associated with Murder Inc, Pigface, The Damage Manual and others. Died over the weekend after a suspected stroke at 64. The band I've seen live the most over the years. Every night was a good one.
Yep, very sad news. Saw them live plenty of times aswell and like you say they were always excellent. How he got that sound from his guitar is beyond me, one of the finest guitarists of his generation.
Full Spectrum Dominance was one of my favourite tunes this year. Really interesting and clever guitarist.
Gutted. What a sound he wrung out of his guitar. Can't think of many others who had such a signature.
