Players at our disposal Kane Styles Phillips Connell Russell Yet we can’t string two passes together. Yes, Collins has to take some of the responsibility but some of those players really need to question their own input this season because it hasn’t been good enough.
There was a moment in the first half where Styles has a simple ball to play Cotter down the right wing and instead he just passes it out of play for a goal kick. In this moment I realised some of the stick Collins gets is justified, but sometimes when your players can't even do the simple things like a 5 yard pass, what can you do?
Much as I have always liked Styles I think he needs leaving out of starting line up at least for a while. We’ve looked and played a lot better in the last two games when he’s been taken off. I’m far from being Cosgrove’s biggest fan but we’ve been much better after he’s come on with Mcatee playing just behind the front two.

Styles been largely crap so far this season and Williams ,Kane ,Cadden and Phillips have dropped off massively from last season and then add losing arguably the best 3 centre half’s in the league and Norwood aswell then it’s clearly not all Collins’s fault.
He wasn't a good deal better than the rest tonight. He hit a few doggo passes too. He was available, for play to be dictated by him and did it well, but he was back among the centre backs for the most part where it's easier to do that. Can we pass on the sainthood for now and the crucifying of the others?
Styles has got to piss off. He's took the piss for years. If his ability was half as big as his ego he'd be a world beater. Sadly he's a waste of a shirt

Well you're right in that I don't accept the opinion that every single player needs to look at Connell and think that they didn't put as much effort in as he did.
This is what annoyed me tonight. A couple of occasions where we keep possession if he just puts his body in the way and takes the contact. Instead he flings a foot up for a speculative, almost impossible, lazy pass, and we lose the ball. He has to work harder for me.
You watch the performances Styles has put in for us all season and it's very hard to believe he's likely going to be playing in the Euros next summer.
