You would've been asleep because the match was that boring. Just because Wycombe didn't have a foot hold doesn't mean Barnsley did. For the majority of the match it was two poor teams daring each other to attack.

First half we had two shots zero on target, they had 3 shots and one on target. In the second half we were poor again and didn't have a shot on target until after Styles was subbed off in the 61st minute.

For the last half hour we were much better and managed to step up, so for the last half hour I'd say we controlled the game, and only for that period.

    Completely agree.

It was hardly free flowing especially first half but we were the better side by far & stepped it up second half creating several great chances & thoroughly deserved to win even if a few individuals are underperforming.

It was typical Wycombe. Tried to spoil, niggle, cheat, waste time - never once attempted to do anything. Anyone expected us to paste them 4-0 has obviously never seen them play before.

And the reference to controlling the game means that they barely had a shot and didn't trouble us one bit. We were never in any danger- compared control.

I stand by it. Of course it was a dreadful game - it's Wycombe. They still play Ainsworth Ball.

There were posters in that thread begging for a Wycombe goal.

We play more boring, dull, turgid, defensive Wycombe football than they do.

It was exactly the same last season away at Wycombe under duff, we didn't deserve to win that terrible, terrible game but we won. isn't that the sign of a good team winning when playing badly?
