3 shocking refereeing calls 3 weeks in a row against city now. Wonder if Liverpool and arsenal fans still think there's an agenda against their clubs in favour of City? This corruption talk is laughable. Its not corruption, its sheer incompetence. He literally waved to play on and then soon as Grealish got ball 1 on 1 he blew. Mental.
I'm just happy that the new rules about not surrounding and harassing the referee are being taken so seriously. I think it only lasted about three games, before it was back to (ab)normal.
WTF was he doing arm waved advantage, then decided to pull it back when he was through on goal. Quite bizarre
Got the play on thing wrong near the end but otherwise I thought the referee was absolutely excellent. Mind you only saw the second half.
To be fair, it's happened constantly for about 2 months now. Nothing new now City have done it. Don't think Haaland is handling it very well at all.
Apologies, I wasn't clear, but I wasn't directing this comment at only this incident. I agree that it was ignored not long into the season.
I reckon he's thought Haaland has ****** up giving the ball away & not realised Grealish is on to it. He's tried to pull it back quick after giving advantage and f.cked up. Looks bad, is a bad one but I think it's pretty easily explainable. Grealish looks like he's cut inside and was probably behind the Spurs defender so view blocked.
I thought he played the advantage, then thought Grealish was offside ( he wasn't) so pulled it back for the original foul. But we'll never know, cos despite their monumental **** ups, they never have to come out and explain. He messed up.
Thought Pep did well to restrain himself with the referee, he could have blown up completely and the ref still wouldn't have been to blame. Bizarre decision.
Amazing how the commentator on telly praised the City players for being restrained in their protests. At least 8 could have been booked (under the current rules). As for Haaland, he made his own mistakes during the game, the worst one from 7 yards.
Can't be true, I'm sure someone on here was saying refs are fixing things in favour of Man City to stop Spurs winning the league...
