We trade upon the basis that we’ll get something out of these nuggets before they get turned into err….golden beans!

We need a formula that enables a fair footballing pyramid to sustain.

Something that puts money in its place and allows talent effort and luck its reward.

 

I agree with the last part certainly.

But constantly losing money and hoping for your magic tin of beans isn’t a business plan. There is this constant drip feed that’s says football has changed and that football is a business. It’s just not true. Football was run more like a business in the pre Sky days. When we used to rely on the fruit and veg business having a good year to buy a player or two. When transfer income was spent on ground improvements “Tiler Floodlights” etc that’s when it was an actual business.

Now even at our level it’s a rich man’s toy thing not a business at all.

 

To be fair, that’s what I care about. As long as I have a seat at a ground I’m happy, I’d take us being mint and playing on a playing field to be honest.

I don't think either you or I know, or will ever appreciate, some of the absolute ***** she's had to endure on Twitter from complete bell ends which prompted some of that confrontational stance she took. And to give her credit (and I do think she deserves quite a lot), she was there and she was prepared to fight her corner and she faced them ******.

I don't necessarily agree with how she handled it, but she's gutsy, you can't deny her that.

 

I think she handled it perfectly - dont think it has anything to do with her previous successes, she will have had plenty of hardship and failures previously whilst getting to the high position she is in. You don't get to be successful without taking a megashit tonne of criticism, difference is, shes used to constructive criticism, as opposed to the disgusting down right abuse shes got whilst at 'our' club - and she gets a tonne more than most because she is a woman, something I didnt think at first, but my mind was swiftly changed, shes received loads of due to her being a woman. I feel incredibly sorry for her in that regard and she has my full backing that she will be a success at this club, I really hope she is.

Some of our fans are a ******* disgrace and im ashamed of supporting the same club as them.

 

Am I missing something Gally and just being really dumb but why isn't the fanzone brought inside during winter and set up on one of the concourses like East stand Lower ? Sure I get it may take away supporters buying in house drinks but other than that?

I had to mute the sound, I'd used up all my anti-cringe shields earlier in the evening.

 

To get in the East Stand concourse you need an East Stand ticket, so you've instantly lost all your custom who sit in other areas of the ground.

 

Along with 95+% of us. I go to watch the football. the rest is secondary. Nice if you can have both. And let's be honest. It's not exactly the worst stadium and training facilities in the country. Even the massives wouldnt come close. (Obstructed views in several areas of the ground. A leppings lane end becoming unfit for purpose safety wise, hence the reduction in capacity )
The west stand is obviously an issue. And those that go in it are obviously aware of its failings. And pay the highest prices for the privilege in the upper tier. (And obstructed views) Through tradition. (And convenience) I get that.
