New trailer is out I see, looks incredibly impressive as you might expect. I think it's going to be pretty big: GTA V trailer: 96m views in 12 years GTA VI trailer: 52m views in 10 hours.
Looking forward to it! Now to decide whether to stick with Microsoft and get the latest Xbox, or go back to Sony and get a Ps5. Have a year plus to decide!
Probably the most successful game of all time? They're still making money off it now all these years later. I bought a PS3 just so I could play it. It's lifespan has surpassed an entire games console generation. Undoubtedly, PS5/Xbox (whatever) sales will go through the roof around the time of its release.
It’s taken its time coming that’s for sure. I can’t believe GTA 5 managed the PS3 and PS4 cycles and now well into PS5. I’m guessing it’ll probably be October/November 2025 but I’m already eagerly waiting. I imagine it will break all kinds of sales records.
one of the only games I will pay full price for. I was never interested in the GTA franchise until I was shown GTA3. Yes its dated now, but I still love to put it on the Xbox and play. Never really took to Vice City, but San Andreas was unbelievable. GTA IV and V added to the development of the genre. The franchise has always drawn criticism that it encourages users to violence. But I enjoy them.
There's a brilliant BBC podcast series about GTA - the full history, the controversy, the developers etc. Really worth a listen... https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0df1893
I hope they've scheduled the release date more favourably to their staff. My brother worked on GTAV and although he's incredibly proud of the end result, he also said it was the worst time of his professional life due to the crazy hours he worked and how staff were treated in general. I can't repeat the stories, but they were quite (despite the excellent money and bonuses).
I love the grind of some games. I don't play on the Ps4 often, but since about May this year, I've only played the Crew 2 and nothing else. It's set on a scaled down map of the US, and I'm trying to complete the 'hobbies' on it. There's stuff like, 'drive 500 miles in a GT car with hip hop on the radio' to gain 4 stars, when you need 570 stars for that Mazda Rx7 10th Anniversary Edition that I've got my eye on. You can be grinding for hours for the reward of just 1 star, but I like the sense of accomplishment.
I'm still on my Ps3, I haven't caught up with the Ps4 or XBox One yet lol. I never got into the Grand theft auto games, I'm not sure why. I've recently finished Resi evil 6 and am now doing Dead space 2.
Interestingly Vice City is 1 of my all time favourite games and IV is the one that I disliked Opinions eh
Anyone one on twitter/x just have a look at the #BanGTA6 comments. Some people will moan or find offence about anything.
