Once the penalty is issued it is AT THAT POINT that they can appeal. They did not do this. They just accepted the penalty of being booted out. Once again any appeal can be done in person by zoom, or on paper. It is ALWAYS beneficial to have the persinal hearing and had they appeal led as outlined above in a personal hearing they would have prob got a replay.

We appealed, obviously, and by appealed I mean we didn't appeal, and by obviously I mean it was Crystal Clear, Staring Us Straight In The Face Obvious that we should have appealed to everyone else, but unfortunately not to us. We also admitted to starting the Great Fire of London and being Jack The Ripper.

I heard Neerav, say after reporting it to the FA, they reported it to the Horsham owner who apparently asked for a replay but the FA rejected that... but they have granted it to Forest Green, consistancy non existent

If the facts stated in the clubs letter and or the facts stated in a personal hearing are the same, then surely the outcome should be the same. I appreciate that cross examination can take place in the personal hearing scenario but then can the facts then be classed as the same. There is no guarantee that the outcome would have been different if the club had appealed. I would have thought that the FA would use expulsion for a worst case scenario such as a team playing a real ringer and not a ringer by a technicality.

Barnsley - breached rule 103 & fielded an unregistered player. Disqualified.

FGR - breached rule 109 & fielded a registered loan player but without permission to play from parent club. Re-play tie.

Marsh was registered, he was ineligible because he wasn't available to play in the.home fixture.
Incidentally, if a player is ineligible for the home fixture due to being suspended, does that rule him out of the replay even if he's served his suspension? The rule apparently states that if a player is ineligible for the original tie, he can't play in the replay

That was taken from a tweet, highlighting the differences in rule breaches.

As I understand it if he is suspended for the initial tie he can play in the replay if the suspension is completed as he was registered with us at the time of the first tie (just suspended).
Marsh was still registered at York on loan when the first tie was played.

From reading an article on this earlier, it appears that the FA didn't inform FGR that the player had (or didn't have) permission from the parent club to play. So it may have been a mistake at the FA rather than the club. Which could explain the different punishments.

It appears that Forest Green had permission for him to play but didn't inform the FA.
