Connell, Phillips, Kane, Styles, Benson, Wolfe, Russell + others.

Midfield needs nothing but a kick up the @rse and confidence in a solid defence behind them.

If Neerav is talking rubbish and all the players are rubbish, does that means Collins is doing OK then?

Only Bolton and Peterborough have scored more than us.

They're not mistakes Helen, it's whole basis of the club's existence.

We need two centre backs who can run & win headers & to move Jordan Williams back to RWB & we’ll be fine

I thought that too. Premier teams should be compelled to pay 100% up front, especially a relatively low fee. But then again they have their own rules so who’s going to make them

Whether you think that or not, we're still paying him a wage, and he's still impacting the limited budget we have.

What did they expect? They signed a centre back from the 7th tier and one from the French 4th division.

I think he talks a lot of sense TBH & largely says what we all know.

For me the defence is abysmal, compared to last season. Williams should not be a regular in the back 3 & we have no real leader there. It's hard to press forward when the back door is open. I think Cotter could play a number 10 role, or Jalo. If Roberts goes we do need a better keeper. Killip has done OK, but not a starter for me & certainly not a main course.

For me we don’t score enough across the team , waste too many chances and don’t shoot enough .
But if you’re happy as it is fair enough,

In short we are a few years off mounting a serious promotion charge, unless we drop on with another miracle worker in Duff, as it stands Collins ain’t that!

The statement re the money situation it would be a foolish thing to say to other teams we are absolutely minted money burning a hole in our pockets can't wait for January wouldn't you say.

The chairman can talk **** as much as he wants it's his actions that will tell the real story come the end of January. Who stays who goes who extends there contract who doesn't and who comes in to the club.

If our defence is bad, why not play attacking football and look to outscore teams. We are going to concede either way so we might as well look to score.

The deal for Kitching was too good to turn down. But it’s a bad deal as we ‘had’ to let them structure the payments.

So was it a good deal or not?

As mentioned earlier, it’s a word salad. Contradicts himself at times and the biggest concern of all is where he says they will consult Collins on making decisions of selling styles for less than his release clause or anyone bought.

He shouldn’t be here now, certainly not January, but he clearly will be.

A former centre half who can’t get centre halves to even effectively mark from a set piece or win a header… it isn’t the lack of quality of defenders that prevents some basic coaching. It’s lack of ability to coach. His assistants are a striker and a winger - presumably he has to take the lead on defensive coaching. They are getting worse.

Whoever we bring to the club in January will be ruined by him. I’m not convinced Mael, Lopata and McCart are necessarily as bad as some assume.

The most goals of any team from open play in League 1....according to the Reading commentators.
