Hi everyone I need some help and cannot get a truthful reply from Fanatics after 21 attempts by email. I ordered a blue goalkeeper shirt back in July and still not received it yet. I have been told they are out of stock and will not be back in stock again. I have been told the order can be cancelled and I would get a refund by e-gift, even though asked for a substitute white shirt, this exchange cannot be done they say. Now they are saying the e-gift is not an option as I placed the order from another country, I live in America. The only option they gave was to credit the card I used to purchase the shirt, that isn't an option as I closed the credit card account. Does anyone have any idea, either get a refund or get a replacement shirt, this was for my wife not for myself. Thanks in advance guys. Dave
This is the issue though mate, some replies from Fanatics are saying wait for the new stock, other replies say they are not getting any more. I hope the club don't use Fanatics next season. Even giving them an option to change to the white shirt isn't an option
A couple of thoughts: - Are there going to be anymore white shirts? I think they look a lot better than the black ones but the first team don’t seem to have a replacement for the ones destroyed in coach fire. - Would an intervention from the club in this case set an unwanted precident in that it could open the floodgates for lots of claims?
I gave Fanatics options, refund, replacement shirt exchange to the white one and they have declined both options. Now I have no shirt and they have my money.
Yet still despite some hot air at the fans forum the club haven’t publically set out anything about what they have put in place or agreed with fanatics to sort out the woeful service the majority of fans have received.
You should be able to receive a refund, then contact the card provider and they will transfer to you/issue a cheque. Ring the card provider first to confirm if you like, but this is how it has worked for me in the past getting refunds to closed cards.
Despite the card being cancelled, you will still be covered by the protection it offers. So firstly, I would speak to the card provider first. Some providers (not all) can post out pre-paid credit cards with your credit on if required. But just because it’s cancelled, it doesn’t mean you’re dead with it.
I’ve had the same situation but still got my refund. Was true for both American Express and Amazon (MBNA issued) cards.
If only anyone at the club had spent 20 seconds looking at Fanatics reviews on Trustpilot before signing a contract with them.
Sorry - maybe I worded my post wrongly. I was meaning to suggest that the club should intervene in this instance.
I can't believe this could happen with a fashion designer in the board. How's this possible? I bet JAQ is embarrassed by this as much as the Eagles. We've got their greatest hits logo on our shirts.
She called them out at the fans forum but clearly despite the hot air the problems are not resolved from a Barnsley fans pov.
