I know quite a few players have lived in Bridgewater place in the past. Barnsley and Leeds players. I used to work at the Lloyds building next door and I've seen Marley Watkins and Kalvin Phillips driving out of the car park before.
Small world, I also worked at the Lloyds West Bank building for years, 2011-2020. Was in Leeds yesterday, interview near the station. Drove back via Water Lane, the building is abandoned and a lot of the windows looked boarded up. Loads of scaffold up at the bottom of Bridgewater too. And Panini Shack has gone! Sacrilege. But yeah you are right that there’s players live up there. Barnsley, Leeds and Bradford I’ve known of. Maybe others.
I was there 2013 to 2020 so our paths must have crossed once or twice mate. There was talk of the building being sold just before the pandemic, I think Lloyds were keen to get shut of it after the PPI deadline passed. I used to love a sausage and bacon baguette from Panini shack, though I'd bob round to Philpotts for a pay day treat.
Just checked prices for Bridgewater Place. Over 1300 a month in rent. And they say there's a cost of living crisis. Aye or8.
A few weeks ago I passed Williams and fam in the white rose centre. Looked to be heading to the kids play area.
They were after selling it for years. I did hear Asda had bought it for extra parking for their offices. I was upstairs on mortgage PPI review on evening shift - so if you were days we might not have crossed paths that often.
Asda bought everything else in the vacinity so it wouldn't surprise me. I was in mortgage review on the day shift, so yeah, maybe we didnt.
I believe he's injured or so I understood Collins to have intimated in his post-match interview on Radio Sheffield.
There needs to be some explanation, as to why he never turns up for us. He can go in January, as far as I'm concerned. I only want players that want to play for the shirt. Sadly, since he's come back, I've seen very little. A couple of really good performances, but mostly, someone who wants to play an easy ball & not get injured, or break sweat.
