    Collapsed again on the pitch. Hope he's ok, but have to worry about his career with it happening twice in a short space of time

    Surprised they allowed him to play again after the first time. It's just not worth the risk with what's expected at high level professional sport. Let's hope he's fine.

    Apparently awake and responsive so that's a very good sign.

    His career should be over as far as playing is concerned, for his sake.

    Sounds like the first responders were again class and potentially saved the man’s life, again. Excellent.

    The NHS gets alot of stick, but we do have some amazing people working within it. Those guys deserve all the credit here.

    I hope he sorts himself out, I also hope that if it is the end of his career, it’s on his terms. Can’t imagine what him and his family are going through after this being the second time this year.

    Agreed. Hope he's OK but he can't play again, not worth the risk!

    I get where you're coming from but say for instance your child's first game is Luton at home in the cup. Would you rather his first memory possibly not being a player dying on the pitch?

    Of course I wish Tom Lockyer and his family all the best but it shouldn't be his decision.

    Not much need to be worrying about this. Tom is 29, and there is surely no way on this earth he will be insured to step on a field again. Great shame for such a good guy, but he's gotten in 445 games and 15 goals at pro level. Us wannabees on here could only dream of having that sort of career! Time to take care of himself and his loved ones, I think.

    Good to hear Tom is comfortable and resting at home, and playing Call of duty apparently lol.
    I always find blasting baddies and Nazis and zombies on that game, to be very therapeutic actually. :)

    But they allowed Erikson back after a similar operation, albeit only happened once with him.

    They allowed him back after collapsing but unfortunately it happened again might not be so lucky the third time. Needs to think of himself and his family
