https://youtube.com/shorts/kZmjdRojtHs?si=m1iauD-Es8n2VjbL I'm glad other fans from different clubs see it too.
This century including this season by default. Barnsley Top tier 0 seasons 2nd tier 15 seasons 3rd tier 9 seasons Wendy Top Tier 0 seasons 2nd tier 18 seasons 3rd Tier 6 seasons. Massive I tell yer.
Even though he admits it himself, I can't take a Leeds fan tekkin the pīss out of anyone claiming to be massive and being kings of Europe, both as bad as each other (well, nearly). I'd debate his claim that ask anyone abroad about Yorkshire and they'd say Leeds.
I hate to agree with you but you're right. One of the biggest clubs in England and world renowned. Proper sleeping giant. Just need managing correctly.
I have to admit Leeds are biggest club in Yorkshire, people come from far and wide with no connection to the area to see them, not sure any other club from yorkshire can say that, just speaking to a season ticket holder on Saturday and he was sat next to 2 lads from Dublin who were over the the weekend to watch them, and its not like it was unusual. A few years ago I got a lift towards Leeds from a mini-bus full of Welsh Leeds fans up for the game. Let's face it the city is 700k - easily biggest city in the country with only one team, so it would be a pretty poor effort if they couldn't attract big crowds, think season tickets are like gold dust these days.
Leeds are way bigger than Weds - get train from Leeds to our home games and amount of Leeds fans coming in from around the world is incredible. Always loads of Irish fans get on coach from Man Airport plus quite a few from likes of Norway etc
There's no such thing as a sleeping giant anymore, TV money gulfs the attendances, they don't need fans in the Premier League. I've worked in Leeds for the last 15 years and find their supporters great compared to the Sheffield lot but Leeds getting promoted back to the top tier was icing on the cake. Being relegated in no time proved to them how much footballs changed, they're no longer one of the greats. Wednesday could do with returning to it for instant relegation - that should shut some of their crowd up too.
