I agree! When Sam came on, suddenly Devante started to get stuck in

I thought a ball had to be played forward to be offside jalo was on goal line and played it ba
back to cosgrove near penalty spot and i honestly dont believe the pass to jalo was offside if so why didnt the flag go up as he must have run 50 yards with the ball before passing and he didn't move for the ball until it had been kicked

Barnsley must be the only place where people come home and kick the dog after a win.

There was recently a similar thread dedicated to McAtee and how awful he was. Even when he scored a brace, it was ‘only against a non league team’. - He’s since proved he’s not ‘awful’ but rather than learning it’s not always prudent to jump to conclusions, some have picked someone else to jump on instead. Cosgrove.

I think he’s ok, improving and has a big part to play, for some of the reasons already stated in this thread. I don’t expect anyone to agree with me, but at least give him the same time it’s taken McAtee to progress from ‘awful’. - about six weeks.

Cosgrove was continuously involved when he came on and was a pain in the backside for their defenders. He didn't fo anything great but made a significant difference.
Best I've seen Mcatee play, what a goal at a time we were all over the place.
I believe we will be a stronger team after a few of the summer out of contract players move on.
We are a better team with Roberts in the nets.
Bring Lopata, Russell, Jalo in to the starting line up.

The problem is he goes to ground so easily that when he is actually fouled the ref doesn't give it because he's the boy who cried wolf

Don't agree, Connell Russell and Mcatee would be our strongest midfield 3. IMO

The turning point of the game was Jalo coming on. Unfortunately should have happened 10 minutes earlier.

In the end we battled & won. It wasn't pretty, but 3 points earned. Cosgrove for me looks like a striker that could do well at Athersley Rec.

Cosgrove is an ungainly nuisance, but it's pretty clear to me that he adds a very different dimension to the side, which we were severely lacking before. In the last few weeks he's come on and completely changed the dynamic of the game against Lincolnshire, Wycombe and yesterday. 5 points gained from losing or drawing positions that I genuinely don't think we'd have got without his contribution. Players don't move for north of £2 million if they don't have something about them.

Cosgrove looks much better than Tedic to my untrained eye.
