    Looking forward to watching from home today.
    Really doesn’t seem like a year since we went to Accrington last Boxing Day when the Ref spoilt our day.
    Been a long time since I went to PV - I think Robbie Earl played! Decided to save the time and cost of going by using IFollow.

    Never been there although I’ve always wanted to see this ground that once had a capacity of 50,000. I presume the ground has changed since then (new stands built?).

    I seem to remember they called it the Wembley of the North (or Midlands).

    That young Chris Wood is having a good day out in Newcastle today. We had him on our books a bit too early in his career, as is the case with many who have gone on to better things.

    Still got one of the widest in the country so I can’t see any of our long throws getting too far.

    Just looked it up and their biggest crowd was 49,768 for an FA Cup tie against Villa in 1960

    Last there when Goaly broke his leg Wardle maybe ??? No goalies on bench ,up steps Stevie Cooper Striker had a blinder 0 0 very cold Tuesday neet if I remember, long drive there n back .

    Yes, Ian Wardle. Horrible challenge by Robbie Earle. Met Wardle years later when he was manager at Dewsbury Sports Centre. He said Earle never apologised for finishing his career. Wardle is a big Liverpool fan, and by the looks of it a bit of a heavy rock fan.

    Anyone having problems paying on iFollow? PayPal window pops up then disappears and credit card payment just says MAX_CHARGEABLE_PAYMENT_DETAILS_REACHED and does nothing....
