7 in 7 now. Nevermind about Roberts, it is him we should be worried about any possible recall clause.

Should be seeing if he available to sign next month
Would cost a couple of quid but be money well spent after some of the deals we did last summer

 

I can't see Luton wanting to recall him tbh. Had they been in the league below, then maybe.

 

Can't see why not, he's never played a game for em has he..? Bound to be available at the right price.
Whether we can afford him may be another question. But just the type of player we need if we want to get to the championship and stay there..

 

If he's available they could recall him to sell or loan to someone higher up the pyramid. Hopefully he's here for the season.

 

Before today I was thinking he’s coming more and more into it and I wouldn’t mind us looking at some sort of permanent deal.

He played really well today and it’s made me want to sign him even more so.

Yeah this for me, is where ambition or the apparent lack of it, comes into effect.
If we were offered a 'decent' deal for him, but it meant this lot had to spend a bit... that's where I have a problem with them.
Every club has to speculate to accumulate, at sometime or another. And surely this doesn't mean spending stupidly and threatening our debts, as some fans keep on claiming.

 

Can’t see Luton being interested in selling him, unless he only has this season on his contract. They’ll likely be relegated, and possibly get offers for the likes of Adebayo and Morris. So would make sense for them to reassess where McAtee fits in their plans in the summer. On the flip side, don’t think they’ll be looking to shift him on loan elsewhere, now he’s playing every game for us.

 

We won’t sign him in the window we don’t,t do ambitious things like that.wait till the summer then somebody else comes in.

 

I wonder if there was some sort of preliminary potential transfer deal at the outset?

 

They've had enough favours out of us over the years, surely time for a little goodwill payback.

 

Don't think he's Prem quality at the moment - Luton doing well so really can't see it

I'm guessing if someone offered Luton enough for him then he'd be gone - a la Drinkwater, loan deal until End of season or not.

 

But they can't, because there is not a loan recall option. Unless a rule has changed recently?

 

I doubt we will recall McAtee yet he is maybe just what we need as we have virtually no striker cover at Luton. As others say, maybe we cant.
If Morris or Adebayo get injured that is it as Woodrow has a long term injury. We can't get a loan either without letting someone else go.
McAtee is getting some goals, how good is he.
