it won't. He has no pace and no attacking vision whatsoever. He just slows the game down when we should have been going for the jugular.
I think it’s clear now that no matter happens, there will always be folk ready to jump down Collins’s throat. We’ve been so much better going forwards in recent weeks and I think that, despite what some continue to say, there is a clear identity and style of play forming and it’s an attractive one. That said, I think he made a mistake today in not keeping Connell on until the 60th minute mark. They were always going to come out blazing and Russell was going to need time to get into the game. Having Connell there to see us through the first 15 would’ve set the tone for the rest of the half. Instead we looked all at sea from the onset and never really settled. Easy in hindsight, though.
We were coasting. Absolutely coasting. But made it hard work in the end. I can't believe from being so comfortable to being a bit edgy. Why? I hope he knew what he was doing, cos it wasn't comfortable at the end
I love your optimism your first two points are facts but your last point I'm not sure will ever be so but time will tell.
Are you a professor? Your eyes are open but see nothing.. Connell had been booked, McCart as a thigh strain. We were 3-0 up and took our front pairing off.. like we do do every week..( cos the stats always come back and say that the vast amount of injurys happen in the last 20 minutes). We play Peterborough in 3 days and Wigan in six. But every player that came on the field did make the team worse.. from front to back. Maybe our bench isn't as strong as some like to think..
Ffs. Had we kept everyone on and hammered them, then got beat Friday. Folk would be saying we should rest players. Whatever Collins does some people just won't be happy
Did we lose the match? I'm sure some people on this forum want us to lose so they can justify their ***** against Collins. If we aren't winning 5 or 6 nil it's apparently not good enough.
The problem is if we have Russell and Kane on the pitch at the same time there'd be more mobility and dynamism in a midfield pairing of my grandmas, and they've been dead 10 years.
The manager decides that as we’re 3-0 up & cruising he can take off players & get rested up & still have enough in the tank to come home with the 3 points & he’s proven correct yet there’s people on here still moaning. It’s getting boring.
Yeah right, I just can't understand this pathetic mentality either, that some fans have. Ok I admit things aren't brilliant under Neil, and there are areas that do need improving on. But this season is still looking like it could be a Play off season, or maybe even better and the top two. But some still keep wanting him out after a bad 11 minutes of play!.
He made commonsense decisions that made total sense in the context of the game. It's not his fault that the squad quality drops off a cliff after the first 11 or 12 players. Russell is abysmal, so is Cosgrove, Jalo is incredibly young and therefore raw, Watters is dog egg, he's stuck with trying to rotate what he's got.
