A poor attempt at trying to improve the atmosphere.

Take more than a few flame throwers. Atmosphere has been non existent all season. The dire football hasn’t helped.

    In America, it's called razzmatazz.
In Yorkshire, it's called a bleedin waste of money.

Given the underperforming digital signboards the advertisers will be saying exactly the same. Enough suits in our Directors box today to have noticed that.

Teams out, I understand. Goal scored - absolutely! Winning a corner - no thanks, mate. Random during play - button's stuck.

While we're on the subject... can the two halfwits who put the flags out for kids to wave on the pitch spend a few seconds making sure they're fit for purpose?
Two of them have been like a dish cloth tied to the end of a stick for the last 3 games!

One of those flame thingies in the hole at the back of the old Ponty where the wind came through, would have been lovely during some of the cold winter night matches back in the 80s, as they give off some heat, although the wind was sometimes so strong there could have been a danger of setting fire to the goal nets.

If I ever get my hands on a TARDIS though, I wouldn’t mind going back to a January Tuesday night match back in the mid-80s and ask a shivering me and my mates why it was that we didn’t just move, as we stood in the path of the freezing wind, rather than just standing there, complaining of the cold.

Do something that might (not for me but whatever) improve the atmosphere/ambience. How dare they!

Good football on the pitch would be better.

I’m pretty sure they’re trying that too.

They were a bit of an embarrassment I'm afraid. Let's not celebrate winning a free kick. It's not exhibition football.

Would a top Premier League side do it? No, for a reason.

Things that would improve the matchday experience.

    1) More easy on the eye Football.
    2) Cheaper tickets without doing offers.

    Things with no interest.

    1) Fire.
    2) Music being played when we score.

Things that are usually at odds with each other:

    1) More easy on the eye Football.
    2) Cheaper tickets without doing offers.

and obviously they are trying to do the best with each of those things.

The club is trying to do something that might improve the atmosphere and people like you are just shitting on it.

You have posted about match day experience being poor before, they have done something to try to improve it and you are negative about it. What’s the point?

I like the flames and I like the music when we score, so do most people who sit around me; it does add to the atmosphere imho.

They have their place for if we score a goal but using them because we have a throw in is embarrassing and to me just says "this match is utterly **** and boring, we better do something to try to wake up all the poor sods who've payed to come"

When the **** did we play really well in the first half? We were absolutely awful and lucky not to go in 5-1 down. Wigan missed a host of absolute sitters in both halls.
