Of course anything can happen. But there's a chasm between a report that Luton and the player are both happy with the current setup and another report that he's about to leave. Particularly when the latter is from an account that works on HITC, which is barely a wrung up from the parody windup merchant accounts that make up rumours.
Disagree - you don’t know the family, nor do we. But some are close to their siblings and it makes a difference. Most players at some point move to be closer to family, so being close to his brother may be a good thing.
Great news. Think he's likely to be one of the standout players in the division in the second half of the season. Vital to us.
I literally read something yesterday that quoted Rob Edwards saying how happy he was with how McAtee was doing here so didn’t feel the need to change anything. Suppose money talks ultimately but hopefully nowt doing.
Both Ipswich and Sunderland are reportedly interested in signing Jay Stansfield from Fulham, who would have to be recalled from Birmingham City. If reports are to be believed, Stansfield is okay to stay with the Blues, so I guess folks are thrashing around for alternative signings. Interesting that it is being quoted that Ipswich and Sunderland are looking at a loan deal, not a permanent like Drinkwater, so why would he move and why would Luton want to sanction it? It would give him half a season at a higher level, but probably not as many starts and fewer minutes on the pitch. I hope that Doug is right and he stays.
Has McAtee been very good for you? We could probably do with him back at Luton as our only cover up front is Woodrow and cant remember when he last scored
Course it has a bit of an impact. Most people want to be near family etc. to help settle into an area. It's obviously not the main reason he's here but it will have been a slight factor
He's been good took him a while to get going but looks very good now, looking forward to him the 2nd half of the season. The step up from this league to the prem is massive so not sure how much he would help you lot but he's doing well.
Weird one. Looked well out of place for the first month or two. But recently been very good (or chipping in with goals a bit more) seems the type of player that needs to have trust and belief in. Think he would be starting again once more if he moved this window especially if it was to championship side.
Absolutely rubbish, no where near as good as Woodrow, stay well clear @Pelly . All his goals have been lucky deflections or miss hits
