Surprised he lasted so long after they went 0-7 down at home in the FA Cup - although they did come back to finish 4-7.
People are allowed to move upwards in their careers, I don't get why fans get so resentful. It's a job.
I could see him going there - he’s not getting an offer from Championship or top half League 1 at the moment
I’ve never had an issue with a manager or player wanting to prove themselves at a higher level, I’d want to do exactly the same but what I do take issue with is when they bang on about loyalty then sod off at the first opportunity,
Not resentful, I think most would move job if it meant double/ treble wages, my point was, as I said purely football, to go from a PO final to the championship to possibly then going to div 4 on a football based opinion I don't think it's progression, good luck to him, do I wish we still had him, absolutely, was I gutted when he left, absolutely, did I blame him, absolutely not
You're using a job that he hasn't taken that there's no evidence he wants as proof that the grass isn't always greener.
I initially replied to someone who said he wouldn't be surprised if he went there, maybe I should have added " Hyperthetically"
Swindon wouldn't waste their time asking him to be turned down. MLH wouldn't drop to that level. Too much is made of distance. If he had got offered the Sunderland job he would have took it, even though he'd be furthest from "home" he'd ever worked.
I wasn't resentful at all against Danny for doing that. But because of the promises he'd made to us, I was more disappointed with him than anything else.
Me too I was livid ,he walked out literally 2 to 3 weeks prior to the new season. Super John got thrown under the bus. Hecky walked out ,there was he'll on. I was more pissed off with the Wilson fiasco.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Mark Cooper ends up there. Pissing the league with Yeovil and a fans favourite.
