Can’t see main pitch being an issue for tonight. But, I know Laurie once told a ground tour it takes up to a week for the undersoil heating to impact all parts of the pitch, so if they looked at the forecast it would have been turned on last week.

I’m really not looking forward to tonight. I have limited feeling below my neck at the best of times, but when I’m very cold I can’t feel anything at all, so standing up and walking aren’t much fun. Would it hurt the club to stretch the undersoil heating up to row L in the Ponty???

I'll have thermal vest, long John's, hat, scarf and gloves on yet that young lad who sits on row BB will still be there with just his short sleeved Barnsley top on

You're wearing long John's hat? What's he gonna put on his head?

I want to go tonight, but I know it’s a stupid thing to do. If someone invited me to see a band, or watch a film, or go for a meal and then said we’d be sitting outside for 2 hours my third word to them would be ‘off’ and my second would be ‘right’. I’ll let you guess the first. I have a ticket to go to the cinema this afternoon and I’m considering giving it a miss cos it will be cold walking to and from the cinema!

I'm driving both ways over Woodhead before and after sitting in it, plus fully committed to a shitkicking from the missus over how late our 11 year old is home on a schoolnight if that makes you feel more sensible...
