Sounds like logical reasoning to me.

    Maybe I'm in the minority.

" pitch like glass" on a bright sunny day and 4°, after 24 hours where it never dipped below zero, sound like hyperbole to me, but obvs I wasn't on the pitch.
Only got as far as outside.

Fair enough,at least he's took time out to explain his decision some others wouldn't.

They should have just called it yesterday. Sorry but I think these decisions should always be taken in advance. Lots of fans forking out twice now as will the football club.

Would expect our gaffer to side with the ref about players safety been put first but he seemed convinced it was more than playable, maybe it’s football that’s gone soft.

To save everyone reading that, there was a small bit of the playing area that was harder than expected, thus justifying wasting a considerable amount of money and time of thousands of people.

Absolutely no heart or soul this bellend. I don't think I could sleep knowing I'd done that.

That's without questioning the "playing surface like glass" ballocks when it was above freezing for 36 hours. A liar as well as a bellend.

    What b@ll@cks
Permafrost is any ground that remains completely frozen—32°F (0°C) or colder—for at least two years straight. These permanently frozen grounds are most common in regions with high mountains and in Earth's higher latitudes—near the North and South Pole

It was probably soft underneath.Lots of games in the past asking for volunteers to move the snow because it was playable below.

Bet it would be okay in about five days when the players had recovered from Covid eh?

Trying to find a positive from this, by the time the fixture is rescheduled Donovan’s international clearance together with his match fitness will hopefully be sorted so it will be an extra fixture for him to play in which otherwise he would have missed. You never know we may even have another signing or two as well.

If it’s only 20 yards worth surely a team of people could have cured that, heaters, forks to break it up even hot water?

Who was out with COVID? Any of their key players?

I would have thought Evans would have relished a wintry tear-up after viewing some of our midweek defending.

...with a team that hadn't played midweek (unlike us) and were therefore fresher.....

Surely considering how far our fans are travelling if there was even a chance of a postponement at 1pm it should just have been called off at 11' i believe some people had booked hotels etc which may have been able to be cancelled without charge before midday' very poor show.
