It's great to see the name Barraclough on the back of a Barnsley shirt again. It takes me back a few years.

    Well done again, Ladies.

    Onwards and Upwards!

Both Barnsley Women and Barnsley Ladies are top of their respective divisions. Barnsley Women are top of the National League Division 1 north (4th tier) and the Ladies (the ones bases at Oakwell) are top of the division below.

    That's great news

Do you know how many divisions they need to rise to become professional?

I wonder if they two Barnsley teams will merge in the future, to pool their resources and make a play for the big time.

Barnsley Womens FC are already at a semi-professional level in tier 4.
Barnsley FC Ladies are in tier 5 and need one more promotion to reach that level. For that reason JAQ said at the last fans' forum that the next step up will be the hardest step towards achieving their plans, which depend on the ability to professionalise.
A merger is very unlikely as there is bad blood between the groups. I did hear that Khaled had made an approach to Barnsley Womens FC and was given very short shrift. How true that is I have no idea.
