I mean there were posters at half time a week ago calling for the manager to be sacked. I’m not sure calling out nonsense like that is pointless.
Now that Appleton’s been sacked at Charlton we should nip in quick with a cheeky bid for Alfie May. Would be a promotion winning move that
I agree with you - it is nonsense calling for his head given the position we are in. The performances may not have always been good but you can’t argue with the results. If only we hadn’t been so slack early on with those home defeats we’d be running away with this league by now.
Crazy how much folk on here love to go for one another’s throats for each comment they ever make. It’s like reading a domestic each day, or a twitter argument between online trolls. Tonight was a great team performance, battling constantly, a fantastic win. Well done to the boys and the manager. Enough said.
Yes it was and I enjoyed almost every minute. In difficult conditions we played some terrific football and made them look poor. Onto the next one and another win banked by Saturday night
It was always going to be about which team took advantage of the conditions better in each half. We properly dominated them first half and used the ball better, mainly on the deck and got the goal we - at least - deserved. Second half, lost count of the times they went long down our left flank and found touch. Brannagan's long range efforts and one error from Shep aside, that's about as comfortable an away win we'll see against a side in direct competition with us. Missing McCart, Pines, Connell, Benson, Wolfe etc. Injuries during the game. Russell, O'Keeffe, McAtee our midfield three for 20 minutes. Some display. Russell MOTM, followed by Cadden. But what a block by Maël late on. Delighted for the 307 who came to back the team tonight. Warriors.
An outstanding result. Collins continues to get the job done - a win against a promotion rival whilst fielding a severely weakened side. And credit to the players for their efforts too. Time to start giving the gaffer some respect.
Think the weather helped us last night.. Oxford thought the best route to goal was to pepper the keeper any chance they had second half with long shots. Where its when teams put crosses in we start flapping at the back.. Decent performance thought we were the better side overall..
Making nonsense posts in reply to nonsense posts is indeed nonsense. Enjoy the win without needless point scoring or what do you think will happen next time we lose?
What a win! Despite the missing players and then picking up injuries during the game, we deservedly won and kept a clean sheet away at one of our promotion rivals. A terrific team performance with Russell my motm. Well done, lads. You did us proud.
