In 1997 the club's name was changed to Total Network Solutions F.C., being the first instance in the United Kingdom of a football club renaming itself after its sponsor's name only.

    Their ground is in Engalnd.

Jeff Stello often used to be sarcy about their team name on Soccer Satdy.

But that's one thing I can't stand, just how far a set of sponsors or owners will go in wanting things to be changed or renamed.

It used to involve lower league Scottish teams, Welsh League teams plus Northern Irish teams. Think the Irish clubs may have dropped out of it now. Shame because it's a good idea IF clubs took it seriously. Unfortunately I don't think they do.

Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Leipzig being the prime examples. There are a few top flight works football teams that bare the company name eg PSV Eindhoven, Karl Zeiss Jena. Difference being they haven't been renamed

Yeah that is taking it too far.
Changing the ground/stadium name is almost acceptable, like calling Leicester's the Walkers stadium etc.
Remember when the Cardiff owner changed their home kit to red, fans were disgusted and wanted the blue back.

Sorry for delay in replying. Had to get to Shetland.
Competition has been going on for a while. Initially confined to scottish teams outwith the prem it was expanded to involve Welsh N Irish and S Irish teams. S Irish teams have recently pulled out.
I think the final is always in Scotland. I once saw TNS play at Forfar. I managed to swap scarves with a Saints fan.
