Mine was a Ford Cortina Mk1, ATS 969 C.

First one I bought was a brand new Seat Ibiza but I was 23 at the time.

 

Vauxhall viva 1300 GLS in metallic bronze 0-60 12 minutes with a strong tail wind

 

Renault Clio 1.9 diesel

 

9142 WF a dark green/rust Mini van in 1971. Hole near the back let the exhaust fumes in. £35 private purchase and it helped me to pass my test first time with half a dozen BSM lessons in York to supplement driving with my qualified girlfriend.

I once bought a second hand car but had to take it back the next day.
I told the salesman I could only get up to 60 going up a steep hill.
He said I see nothing wrong with that.
But I said I lived at 75.

A dark/charcoal grey F reg Ford Escort, which I bought during the Wilson promotion season in '96.

 

A717 NHG white Vauxhall Nova did more miles on the back of Fred Camms recovery trucks than I ever did driving it

 

Morris Minor 1000, reg 2899WW probably worth more than the car which I bought for 30 quid.

1964 Ford Anglia hought in 1972 quickly followed by a G reg Morris 1100 after passing test.

Company car. Picked it up at a dealership in Leicester Square. I’d not driven since passing mi test 3 years before. It had very little petrol in it. I didn’t know where the fuel filler cap was, or how to fill it up. Had to drive home via Trafalgar Square and Hyde Park Corner at rush hour. If you can do that and survive you can do owt.
