    Have them, 100%.

It'll push you in life, strive to do the best you can, that extra % knowing you have some little ones depending on you, knowing you've got a purpose for the rest of your life. You'll have someone to love and be loved back until your last breath. See their faces on Christmas day & birthdays, see them jump for joy every time we score a goal. Seeing your child happy and joyous will give you more joy & happiness than anything else you do in life. You'll have immense pride seeing them grow up, and hopefully you'll see the love you have for your child one day replicated with the love they'll have for their own child.

There will be tough & hard times, obviously. But if we could do it in the days of the cavemen & then the days of WW2, we can certainly cope now. Go for it, mate.

    Just my opinion anyway:)

Seriously, thank you to everybody that has responded. People can be a bit condescending about this sort of stuff or dismissive but I don't feel that at all here. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

It sounds like children enhance life. Higher highs and lower lows. I'm still not sure, so let's give it a few years and take each day as it comes for now.
