If only we could sign a striker with this much quality and so much heart. Automatic would be nailed on.

    Stan and Pete.
    Reds Alumni
    1099 Peter Rajczi
    1100 Istvan Ferenczi
Remember their first game together. Non stop running all match. Both taken in for drugs testing after the game. FL drug testers must have thought they were on summat to put so much effort in.

Plenty out there that can offer what Stan did, just got to appreciate or accept sometimes you aren't buying to make a huge profit further down the line.

Loved Stan for his ability and never say die attitude - he never stopped trying even if we were three down with a minute to go.

Could never understand why Simon Davey favoured OddJob instead of Stan - a far better player.

Whilst OddJob got all the glory for his goal against Chelski, it was Stan who gave John Terry and Carvalho a torrid time - and he hit the post.

Pete was supposed to be a better player than Stan but never really lived up to that billing.

Peter Rajci is still playing today at 42 yrs old.
Davey ballsed up Stan Ferenci for us by trying to play him injured... at Ferencvaros.. his next club he scored 47 goals in 53 games.

It was rumoured at the time that he thought he would score a hatful for Barnsley so he would only sign on loan, believing a far better offer would come from another English club at the end of it.

Nothing wrong with backing your own ability but if that was the case, it didn't work out for him at all.

Jeez, don't give me nightmares. Comparing Odejayi with Ferenczi. I'm sure they were both nice lads but that's as far as it goes.

Wow, arguably the stupidest football related post I’ve ever read on here.

Oddjobs stand out moment for me was when he got his ‘mad up’. He or someone else had lost the ball and he took it upon himself to sprint 30 yards to get it back in front of the east stand, and got a huge cheer.

Sadly he was just too nice to show that side too often - Maybe he was scared he’d kill someone? ;)

Absolutely loved Stan! Wish he’d have stayed with us longer.
