Got it spot in today, in my opinion. Only other thing id have liked was bringing Cosgrove on later on, could tell McAtee was fooked. Cant fault Collins for the abysmal refereeing, or potential wrong offside calls, and certainly can't blame him for the sitters we missed. His job is to get them chances created with how we play, and he did that. On another day, we'd have scored 3 or 4. Earl was brilliant imo, looks a fantastic signing. Cant wait to see what Pines and Grant can do as well. Great point, would have snatched your hand off for it before the match, gutted we didn't beat em but oh well. On to the next. Coyr
Agree with that. Said 1-1 before the game and would’ve taken it. Had Phillips, Cole or McAtee scored one of their guilt edge chance, we would’ve won it.
Yep thought we were well set up today they had lots of meaningless possession at times and we clearly had the better chances, Earl looks a cracking piece of business, if Pines turns out a good buy were cooking on gas, its going to take a good unbeaten run to sneak into the autos not impossible and that could be a good starting point. Tough game next week vs Orient they've won again today then back to back away games at Shrews and Fleetwood before Derby at home, buckle in.
Very pleasing to hear, particularly about Earl, we should be even more solid once Pines is fit & he makes the step up & with Williams back at rwb.
It’s the Carlisle and Exeter’s of this league we seem to struggle with and next week against Leyton Orient will be tough.
For once we played well in both halves and could have won it. That was a tough game and would have been happy with a point prior to the game but disappointed we didn’t win. Glad I went and thought every player put a shift in today.
Great performance today. Would have snapped hands off for a point before game but came out disappointed we didn’t get all three. Missed so many chances today and it cost us. Earl had a great debut.
We've only dropped 9 points from 15 games against the current bottom half sides. Taking 38 of our 53 points against them. Our only defeat to any side outside of the top 8 was last weekend. It hasnt always been pretty, but I wouldn't say we've struggled necessarily.
I just think at times this season we struggle to impose ourselves in home games for some strange reason but away from home we can sit back more and pick teams off which is proven with our brilliant away record.
All we needed was pace & height at the back. Earl is 50% of what we need hopefully Pines is the other 50%
Agreed. Very solid performance today. Would have taken a point beforehand, but disappointed we didn’t put the game beyond doubt in that 15 minute spell after half time.
