Good long throw for our goal but ball watching with his back to Ashworth's run A decent defender would have stopped the run

The winger was always going to have the run on him but to duck under the ball as it came over is unforgivable.

Let’s hope Pines is ready to go next Saturday so we can push JW out to his natural position.

Always trying to beat his man but sadly can't beat an egg with a whisk..Nobody can knock his effort and in recent games coming on as sub he's made a difference to the pace of our attack. better pushing up than defending and has the pace to recover if things break down. genuinely belive he could develop into a 1st team regular but one for the future..

I really don't know if JW would have defended it any better. He fails to jump at the far post as well.

He defended well, especially in the first half where Bolton were more dominant.

That's probably because he's not really a defender.

Really like Barry. Capable of doing some awful things but on the flip side is involved in a lot of good attacking moments. Lincoln away he has horrendous in the first half but dusted himself off and was one of the key players in the second half turnaround.

Not a defender is he.. better going forward but like all wingers hit and miss at that.. Good option to have around but won't play ever week.. Lofthouse should be well in the running next season.

I thought Roberts and Cotter could have both dealt better with their goal.

If all our players could match Cotters desire, enthusiasm then we would be top of the table.

I’d play him at home and drop him away. Miles better going forward with licence and can unlock a game.

I like Barry and he's only going to get better, the bloke that crossed it had far too much time and space to pick out a man which didn't help Cotter.

That's the fullbacks nightmare ball over your head with a player with a running jump, sometimes you've got to say decent ball in and header. That didn't cost us the game missed chances did unfortunately.

He’s a tryer but a squad player at best for me.

Imho he's kind one of those players you chuck on last 15 mins if you want something to happen and can't seem to unlock the opposition. Not quite sure what will happen with him but 10/10 for effort and of course he has that long throw in his locker...I like him but no where near a reliable wing back.

He defended really well… until he didn’t. And it cost us. In all honesty I wouldn’t go as far as to say he defended really well first half - but I get your point.

Ducking under the ball as he did though is really bad, truly woeful defending. From any footballer who plays anywhere. I can’t excuse that; I like Barry, never gives up, tries to be positive. Has a cracking throw in.

But he’s just not a particularly good footballer. Sporadic at best in attack, tries and generally fails to beat a man and his crossing is hot and cold. Defensively he’s shocking in the main.

After playing the first couple of games for MK Dons Lofthouse has been dropped to the bench.

If they could match his ability we'd already be relegated.

As a friend said "send him on because he doesn't know what he's doing so the opposition never will !!"

Reminds me of Clarke Oduor. Playing as a wing back, but no one really knows what his true position is.

A bit harsh. He's an excellent crosser and a very decent finisher as well. Has genuine pace. Positionally extremely suspect though, hence why he's an absolute defensive liability.
