According to the scores app I use, Lee Doughty was the ref yesterday, though it had been advertised as John Busby the day before. Presumably there was a late switch?

Anytime we've had Lee Doughty in the past, there always seems to have been some controversy.

    How did he do yesterday?

Yes, they said there'd been a switch of ref before lick off. He fell for their diving antics first half especially, but I think he did OK.

Dreadful. Many many poor decisions but inexplicably missed a blatant foul and red card decision on McAtee who through on goal.

Very inconsistent. Not stand out dreadful but definitely not one of the better ones we have had this season. I gave a 5 but not sure if that's a little over generous.

Surely it was a foul on Kane in the lead up to their goal ?

Was certainly an homer imo. Mainly in the fouls dept. Thought the linesman was dodgy on a couple of offsides. But tbh he was in a far better position than us to judge. Its crap behind the goals for us to make a better judgement.

Seriously unimpressed seemed to operate to different standards for fouls and bookings depending on which team committed the “offence”

Got 2 game changing decisions wrong both in favour of the home team. Had he blown for the foul on McAtee when through he would have had to show red so waved play on.

Ignored the foul on Kane in the build up to their goal which cleared the way for the cross.
Also ignored several other clear off the ball fouls on our players but gave similar or even lesser offences to the home team.

The booking on Connell was a Joke and also made no sense, either he hit their player in the face so a Red, or he just brushed past him as he tried to block his run so not even a foul. Clue it was the latter.
To not book their player who flattened Cotter and then 2 seconds later Phillips was bizarre in the extreme. He also let the same player off another yellow card worthy challenge. I could go on…
Not felt such bias for quite a few games.

    A 2 from me

Having got that rant off my chest we still should have won despite that. Can’t blame him for missing a hatful of clear chances

Appalling standards yesterday and so inconsistent. At 0 1 up, he seemed to be trying his best to level the game. I will say though that it wasn't him that missed 3 absolute sitters to make it 2.

From our vantage point, Connell clearly (and inexplicably) swung an elbow. Lost his head for a split second & on another day could have seen red. Everyone round us saying 'what the f... was he doing?!?'

Excellent summary & a ditto duo from me :D
Only other thing for me was in the 'keeping the game flowing ' department & the fuss over the positioning of our free kick near the half way line was a good example of that ... song & dance over 2 to 3 yards was a farce.

A lucky 2 from me, fell for the play acting of their players, especially Sheehan. Far too inconsistent

    4/10 and possibly generous.

Old fashioned ‘Homer’ - some of the decisions were laughable but I thought the foul on Kane would have been slightly soft if given prior to their goal so I don’t think he hugely affected the result.

Our missing of chances did that.

A proper homer if ever I saw one. Gave us next to nothing.
