Fair enough , but I don’t. cadden’s delivery is superb. It was again tonight. It’s the job of his teammates to read his crosses and get on the end of them.
I love the way the narrative from posters who were predicting a drop off out of the play-offs is now that we will miss out on the top two (which we might not... probably will). Collins out.
It isn’t what you say it is though is it? Top 2 is still well within our grasp. I don’t know if you play the game, but if you do, I bet your team mates wouldn’t be impressed with that doom and gloom attitude. We’ve gone through a bit of a lean period, this last 4 games but only lost 1, so will other teams. Shrewsbury drew at Derby on Saturday
To be fair, the pitch is not conducive to a passing game. Probably why they like to keep it in the air.
Bolton are 5 points in front of us with a game in hand and 2 games over second We need to be winning games like tonight if we want to go up through the autos.
What was it, 21 shots and something like just 5 on target. That's a problem as well as conceding stupidly again with an og. But it sounded like a game we definitely deserved something from and I'll take that as a decent point earned. Ok, we move onto Satdy again now.
Absolutely. We've been outperforming our XG all season, and it's starting to level itself out now ever so slightly. If our dip in form consists of 1 defeat vs Exeter and 4 dropped points vs Bolton and Shrewsbury then I'll take it.
Autos was always a stretch. We lack another decent striker to back up Cole. McAtee is a good player but not really a forward and both Watters and Cosgrove are looking shocking signings. We got some good balls into the box tonight but no one was on the end of them.
Two games in a row now where we've been better and quicker than our opponents. Seems to me that we've been told to move it about far more rapidly than so far this season. Thankfully. Our finishing needs a bit of a polish. Bad idea to bring Cosgrove on.
Yes, but is it beyond the realms of possibility that they will lose or draw games they believe they ought to be winning? If we beat them as well, then it’s game on. Like I posted earlier, more twists and turns to come yet.
Maybe so, but we are five points behind Bolton in third and they have a game in hand on us. Derby are more than catchable but Bolton and Portsmouth is a tougher ask.
2nd place is Bolton’s to give away we just ain’t good enough for top two and to me the lack of having quality back up for Cole and McAtee will end up costing us in the long run.
