Great to see. Ight training. But I'm guessing plenty of wrist ache. (Give up Stephen) Giving all the kids and some adults wanting autographs
Took my little lad down on the train from Selby and when we arrived just before 10 there was a long queue already. It was a bit muddy but he absolutely loved it and was made up to get his picture with Devante! He wasn't interested before Christmas but he's pestering me to come to away games now and hasn't missed a home game since new years day.
I don't think its summat I've ever done mate. Even as a young un. and I've only ever seen one training session by default P. An under 21s game got called off one saturday morning when I got there. And 1st team were training. Not playing till the Sunday. I remember it well though. Viv was in charge. But handed over to Danny to deal with a question from Shez. About not having to turn up next day as he wasn't playing due to an arm injury.(pot on) "Everyone in" was Danny's answer lol. Shez bairnin
Good stuff. I just wanted to add a little incident which I think I saw correctly on Tuesday evening - apologies if I didn't. It involved our kit man Chris, who reminds me of Tom Davis, when he was picking up the practice balls at the end of the pre-match warm-up down by the goalmouth in front of the away end. One of the balls had rolled up to the hoardings and a young lad with his Dad (presumably) picked it up. The kid held the ball out for Chris to collect but when he got there Chris gave it back to the lad to keep. The youngster was absolutely chuffed to bits and looked like his night had been made before the game had even kicked off. I assume that used match balls are rotated into the practice ball stock after first team games and used ones rotated out so Chris will have known what he was doing but what a fantastic gesture.
